Frida Leonhardsen Maanum
Arsenal and Norwegian midfielder, Frida Leonhardsen Maanum, had many standout performances last season. She won the Arsenal Women Supporters Club Player of the Season award and was nominated for both Arsenal Player of the Season and the Women’s Super League Player of the Season. Her goal against Bayern Munich in the UWCL won goal of the tournament. Her name, however, is often mispronounced as Marnum. On the “Their Pitch” podcast, she discussed how she uses both last names, which are pronounced “Lay-on-ard-son Maw-num.”
